My name is Rick, and Acre13 is my place to build something real.

I own 13.8 acres of forest in Atlantic Canada — a mix of hardwood, softwood, ridges, dips, and quiet corners where the wind moves differently through the trees. This land hasn’t been rushed or shaped by anyone else, and that’s exactly why I chose it. Acre13 is where a long-time dream becomes a working homestead, one honest day at a time.

I’m not a contractor. I’m not a production crew. I’m just one person, building with the tools I have and the time I can carve out. Every tree cut, every board milled, every project started or finished is done by hand. No narration. No hype. No voiceovers. Just the real sounds of the woods and the work — the way it feels when you’re actually out here.

I’ve spent years exploring, filming, and creating content around adventure and the outdoors, but Acre13 is different. This project isn’t about chasing trends or talking at a camera. It’s about showing the process exactly as it happens. The quiet. The effort. The seasonal changes. The mistakes and the wins. The way a forest slowly turns into a place you can call home.

On this land, I’ll be:

  • Clearing trails and building with timber I mill myself
  • Raising structures by hand
  • Creating a small, self-sufficient space that grows over time
  • Documenting the entire journey in natural sound and honest footage

If you’ve ever dreamed of carving a life out of the back corner of your own land — or if you just enjoy the rhythm of real work — you’ll find something here.

Acre13 isn’t about perfection.
It’s about purpose.
It’s about slowing down.
It’s about letting the forest become home.

Welcome to the start of it all.
